A linear encoder is a sensor, transducer or readhead paired with a scale that encodes position. Linear scales are widely used on lathe, milling machine, grinding machines. Linear scale has the feature of waterproof, sturdy and durable, easy to install and optional various output mode. The sensor certification passes CE & ISO9001 & ROHS and reads the scale in order to convert the encoded position into an analog or digital signal, which can be decoded into position by a digital readout (DRO) or motion controller.

Linear scale displacement position sensor is often used in machine tools, machining centers and measuring instruments.
